Connected financial accounts
Budget Parent uses Plaid to let you connect financial accounts. Plaid receives the information needed to establish and maintain that connection under Plaid's own privacy policy. Budget Parent does not receive or store your bank login credentials.
We receive only the financial data you authorize Plaid to provide. You may disconnect a financial institution through Budget Parent or revoke access through the institution or Plaid where those controls are available.
Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information only as needed to providers that help operate Budget Parent, including providers for authentication, hosting, databases, bank connectivity, billing, email, background jobs, security, and AI-assisted coaching. These providers may process information only for the services they supply to us and under their applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in connection with a business transaction, or when you direct or consent to the disclosure. We do not sell personal information.
AI-assisted features
If you use an AI-assisted coaching feature, the information needed to generate that response may be sent to our AI service provider. We limit the information sent to what the feature requires and do not intentionally send bank credentials. Do not include secrets or information unrelated to your budgeting request.
